Hi Friends, the Purpose of Salvation is so You can be a Spiritual Child of God - and Friends with Your Creator for Eternity. There's a Spiritual Birth that takes place when you Open Your Heart and Spirit to Jesus - asking Him to Come in to Stay - giving your Life to Him for Keeps, like you do in a Faithful Marriage. We are All Children of Creation. Christians should remember that. But when you Find Jesus for Real, He becomes as Important to You as Your Closest Loved One. It's not a Religious Exercise but a Sacred Union like Newly Weds become each-other's Everything. Jesus has Invited You to share a Close Bond with Him for Life.
Not Scaring People Into Salvation
So you see : Salvation is not meant to be a "Fire Escape from Hell" like many Preachers have made it out to be. That is not meant to be the emphasis.
Though most Pastors preach that wretched Social Gospel these days that CHEATS People out of Eternity - with Jesus' Name, they take in Vain because they should not be Preachers in the first place. They just want to make Merchandise out of God's House or an Easy Income that requires No Commitment. Who wants to Follow Unrepentant Preachers? Not me! I will Always Follow Jesus throughout Eternity.
The True Gospel Message
The True Gospel Message is that Jesus shed His Life Cleansing Blood for our Offenses toward a Holy God for those who Care to Accept His Grace and Live for Him. And when we make this Commitment, He Imparts a Right Standing with our Creator that no amount of things we can do in our own strength can achieve - He imputes a Free Gift of Righteousness to us, whereby we live this Life in a Love Relationship with the Lover of our Souls and this is spiritually understood when our Personal Commitment takes place.
Any Preacher who does not share these things with us is denying us the JOY of experiencing our Sins Forgiven and a Fresh New Slate Living Life Afresh with Him. That's why the word Gospel actually means Good News; Glad Tidings. Wayward Preachers "Cheapen" the Gospel. And the Santa-Christ Message they give you that "Jesus will give you anything you want" is a sure Recipe for disillusionment when that Bubble bursts (you find it untrue) and most people Leave Him who they never really met that way - thus they were Cheated out of the Real Thing, that is Life-Sustaining - especially in these Times - Relating Personally with Jesus each day and evening (like we do with Loved Ones.) He becomes Real to us, not a Fairy-Tail or Someone Else's Jesus. He becomes Ours too. A blessed relationship.
I invite you to find Him as Your Personal Friend and Saviour. No wonder Scripture (the Word of God) refers to Him as Wonderful. He Loves Us so much!
